Dr Maurice Ye has accumulated experience of more than 20 years in low-and middle-income countries (LMIC) in the area of health system strengthening, monitoring and evaluation (M&E) of public health programs, Maternal and Child Health Programs, malaria surveillance, integrated disease surveillance and response, strategic planning, health system and policy research. Since October 2023 acting as Health System Strengthening and Health Policy Advisor at World Health Organization, Madagascar Office supporting the development and implementation of a comprehensive set of national health policies, programs, and strategic plans.
He has previously served over 6 years period as senior Malaria Surveillance, Monitoring and Evaluation country advisor in Madagascar for USAID/PMI Measure Malaria project led by ICF Macro USA. He has more than 10 years of Research experience, gained at Nouna Health Research Center (NHRC) Burkina Faso, activating as Director of Research, Training and Communication and Sound expertise in the management of health District worked as District Health Officer in Burkina Faso for 4 years, leading the primary healthcare services delivery and monitoring.
Dr Ye has rich experience with several donors (World Bank, WHO, USAID, European Union, Global Funds, World Food Programme. Dr YE obtained his PhD in Public Health, University of Heidelberg, Germany, 2017, a Master of Sciences in International Health, University of Heidelberg, 2009 And a Medical Doctor degree, University of Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso 2001.
